Playing at ECCC, the Birmingham Giants played a double header with the Golden Spikes from Mississippi. Taylor Bearden started the first game tossing 2 innings, striking out 4 and Tyler Allen closed out the final 3 innings, striking out 5 in the the 7-3 win. At the plate Taylor Bearden (1), Sylas Amick (1), Tyler Allen (3, 1 2B), Garrett Whitehead (1), Drew Johnson (1), and Gavin Clanton (1) all had hits and the Giants stole 7 bases to go with the hits in the 7-3 win.
In game 2, Andrew Howard tossed 4 hitless innings striking out 7 and Aiden Latham closed out the final inning of the clubs 80th no hitter all time, as the Giants missed a perfect game by 1 walk. Je’Dan Gilbert (1), Zac Egan (1), Sylas Amick (2, 1 2B), Tyler Allen (2), Garrett Whitehead (1), Cameron Harris (1), Alex Drake (1), and Aiden Latham (2B) all had hits and the Giants stole 6 more bases in the 10-1 win.
