The Birmingham Giants 10u softball Carroll after struggling in pool play rolled off 3 straight wins to bring home the championship in their latest tournament. In their first pool play game, 5 first inning runs was more than the Giants could overcome as they fell 5-3. Offensively Harper Riley (1), Addison Praytor (1) and Reagan Warren (1) all had hits for the Giants. In their second game of pool play, the Giants again allowed 7 runs this time in the second inning of the 9-1 score and the only Giant hit came from Abigail Erreca (1). The Giants finished pool play 0-2 and moved into bracket play to face off with the Swarm.
Kendal Burch and Harper allowed just 2 hits and 1 earned run over 3 innings and Hits from Addison Praytor (1) and Abigail Erreca (1) to go with 7 walks lead the Giants to the 9-4 win, moving the Giants into the Semi Finals.
Kendal Burch started the semi finals game in the circle, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 7 over 4 innings and Abigail Erreca (1), Ralee (1), Harper Riley (2), Ralee Burgett (1) and Khloe Kennedy (1), all had hits as the Giants avenged an earlier defeat with a 6-1 win and a trip to the championship game.
In the championship game Sophia Carroll tossed 4 innings, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 7 and Abigail Erreca (1), Kendall Burch (2), Skylan Dyson (1), Harper Riley (1), Khloe Kennedy (1), and Haley Gothard (1) all had hits for the Giants in their 6-1 win over the Birmingham Buzz.
