Playing in their 2nd tournament of the spring campaign, the Birmingham Giants 10u Carroll softball team posted a 2-2 record, bringing home second place. In their first game of pool play, the Giants squared off with the Hartselle Iron, and managing just 1 hit, the Giants fell 9-2. In their second game of pool play the Giants offense got on tack, scoring 14 runs on 6 hits from Abigail Erreca (1), Haylee Gothard (1), Kendall Burch (HR), Alyssa Broom (3B), Skylan Dyson (1) and Sophia Carroll (2B) and in the circle Skylan Dyson, Harper Rielly, and Sophia Carroll combined to allow just 1 hit while striking out 6 in the 14-3 win.
In their first game of bracket play, the Birmingham Giants were matched up with LC Fury. Alyssa Broom struck out 9 over 3 innings and allowed no hits in the 8-0 win. At the plate Abigail Erreca (1), Ralee D (1), Harper Rielly (1), Addison Praytor (2B), Haylee Gothard (2 2B), and Alyssa Broom all had hits for the Giants in the win, The win moved the Giants into the championship game to again match up Hartselle Iron.
In the Championship game, Kendall Burch started the game in the circle, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 9 and hits came from Abigail Erreca (2B), Harper Rielly (1), and Khloe Kennedy (1) but the Giants fell 4-2, placing them second.
