12u Birmingham Giants softball win 3 straight to bring home title

After dropping their first game of the season the Birmingham Giants 12u Softball Spring Training team won their next 3 games to finish first and return home champions. In their first game of pool play, the Giants faced off with EC Bullets. Despite hits from Hailey Nichols (1), Haiden Foster (1), Crameen Garner (1), Skiely Perry (3B), and Ava Guthrie (1) the Giants dropped the opener, their only loss of the weekend.

In game 2 of pool play, Piper Rowe took the circle allowing just 2 hits and 1 run over 4 innings, while striking out 4. Offensively the Giants were led by Maggie Holt (1), and Hailey Nichols (1) to go with 5 walks the Giants pushed 3 runs across and pulled out the 3-1 win.

After a 1-1 record in pool play the Giants seeded 3rd going into bracket play, where they again were set to play the Ec Bullets. Skiley Perry started the game in the circle allowing just 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 7. Offensively the Giants were led by Maggie Holt (1), Hailey Nichols (1), Haiden Foster (1), and Chloe Ramsay (1) to push 4 runs across in the 4-1 win that placed the Giants in the Championship game to face the twisters.

In the championship game the Giants wasted no time, posting 6 first inning runs on their way to a 13-1 win. Chloe Ramsay allowed just 1 hit and 1 run over 5 innings, while striking out 7 and hits from Hailey Nichols (3, 1 HR), Piper Rowe (2), Carmen Garner (2 2B), Ava Guthrie (2 , 1HR) Chelsea Youngblood (1), Hadley Williams (3B), Chloe Ramsay (1), Skiley Perry (2, 1 3B) paced the Giants in the 13-1 championship win.
