Playing in their second tournament of the spring, the Birmingham Gaints 12u Spring training team rolled off 4 straight victories, running their season record to 7-1 and bringing home another championship. Starting their day off in pool play, the Giants were matched up with the Tomahawks. started the day in the circle Skiely Perry allowed just 1 hit while striking out 3, and 6 first inning runs powered the Giants to a 13-1 win. At the plate Hailey Nichols (2, 1 2B), Haiden Foster (3B)Carmen Garner (2B), Hadley Williams (2), Skiely Perry (2 2B), and Ava Guthrie (1) all had hits to power the Giants to the win.
In their second game of pool play, the Giants again faced the Punishers. Piper Rowe made the start for the Giants, allowing just 1 hit over 3 innings, while striking out 1 and hits from Haiden Guthrie, along with 8 walks powered the Giants to a 4-1 win. The win seated the Giants first overall heading into bracket play.
In their first bracket play game, Skiely Perry started the game in the circle against the Renegades, allowing 1 hit and 1 run over 4 innings and Hailey Nichols (2, 1 2B), Piper Rowe (2), Ava Guthrie (1), Carmen Garner (1), Hadley Williams (1), Chelsea Youngblood(2), Chloe Ramsay (2), and Skiely Perry (2B) all had hits as the Giants pushed 10 runs across in the 10-1 win, the win moved the Giants into the championship game for the second straight tournament.
In the championship game, the Giants were matched up with EC Bullets. 5 first inning runs was all the Giants would need as they rolled to a 5-1 win. Chloe Ramsay started the game in the circle, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run over 4 innings while striking out 4. Offensively Hailey Nichols (2), and Hadley Nichols (1) had hits to go along with 4 walks as the Giants returned home champions again.
