11u Birmingham Giants Baseball startes slow, but bring home championship

Playing in Gadsden on Saturday, the Birmingham Giants 11u Baseball started slowly with a couple of pool play defeats, before rebounding to grab 2 straight victories to bring home the championship. In game 1 the Giants mustered only 4 hits from Eli King (1), Connor Armstrong(1), Isaac Caviness(1), and Collin Kelley(1), and its was not enough as the Giants fell 12-3. In game 2, the Giants offense again managed just 1 hits by Logan Swam(1) and were defeated. As the Giants moved into Bracket play, the were matched up with PBC 11.

This time however the Giants offence exploded for 10 hits, ( Eli King(1), Logan Swam (1), Kaleb Freeman (2), Isaac Caviness (3), Collin Kelley (1), Noah Andrews (1), and Patrick Bull (1) )and on the mound Kaleb Freeman stuck out 4 over 4 innings and Logan Swam fanned 2 of the 3 hitters he faced to close out the win.


The win moved the Giants into the championship game, where Logan Swam took the mound and Struck out 6 over 4 innings, scattering just 4 hits in the Giants 10-5 win. At the plate the Giants were paced by Connor Armstrong (1), Logan Swam (2B), Isaac Caviness (1), Noah Andrews (1), and Walker Causey(2) who all had hits to power the Giants offense in the win that brought home the championship.
