Playing in their first contest of the fall campaign the Birmingham Giants 12u Softball placed 2nd dropping only their first and last game of the day. In their first game of pool play the Giants pounded out 5 hits (Khloe Kennedy (1), Ralee Burgett (1), Alyssa Broome(1), Haylee Gothard (1), and Sophia Carroll (1))and Kendall Burch struck out 5 over 5 innings while allowing just 1 earned run in the 3-0 loss. In game 2 of pool play the Giants were paired with Hustle. Alyssa Broome struck out 7 over 4 innings, and Jessica Whitaker (1), Ralee Burgett(3, 1 2B, 1 3B), Alyssa Broome (2B), and Addison Praytor (1) all had hits for Giants as they rolled 11-1.
The win moved the Giants into bracket play at 1-1 to face Liberty Fastpitch. Alyssa Broom struck out 5 over 2 innings and Sophia Carroll struck out 2 more over the last innings of the 13-2 win. Offensively the Giants hammered out 16 hits over 4 innings, Jessica Whitaker (1), Kendall Burch (1), Ralee Burgett (2B), Alyssa Broome (3, 1 2B), Halee Gothard (2, 1 2B), Khloe Kennedy (3, 1 2B), Harper Riley (3), and Addison Praytor (2 , 2B) all had hits in the win. The win moved the Giants into the championship game. In the Championship game , neither team allowed a hit, but 5 Giant walks allowed 5 runs to score as the Giants finished 2nd on the day.
