Playing in their home park of Pleasant Grove the Birmingham Giants 12u Rolled off 4 straight wins to grab their first tournament win of the spring on March 13th. In their first pool play game the Giants were paired with the 2010 Tomahawks. Kendall Burch and harper Riley combined to allow no Hits over 3 innings while striking out 3, and hits from Ralee Burgett (2B) Kendall Burch (2, 1 2B), Haylee Gothard (1), and Addison Praytor powered the Giants to a 10-0 win. In game 2 of pool play, Alyssa Broome and Harper Riley combined to throw the Giants 2nd consecutive No Hitter striking out 6 over 3 innings. At the plate Skylan Dyson (2), Alyssa Broome (HR), Kendall Burch (1), Haylee Gothard (1), Sophia Carroll (1), and and McKenzie Smyly (1) all had hits in the Giants 11-0 win. The win seated the Giants first heading into bracket play.
In their first game of bracket play, the Giants were again paired up with the 2010 Tomahawks. Kendall Burch allowed just 3 hits over 4 innings, while striking out 6 and hits from Kylie Layton (1), Alyssa Broome (2B), Addison Praytor (1), McKenzie Smyly (1) and Harper Riley (2B) led the Giants to a 5-2 win and a spot in the championship game. In the Championship game Harper Riley allowed just 1 hit while striking out 2, and Ralee Burgett (2B), Alyssa Broome (1), and McKenzie Smyly (1) all had hits as the Giants went on to a 10-1 win.
