10u Birmingham Giants Softball Lathan post 8-2 mark in Mississippi and grab USFA Super Regional Title.

The Birmingham Giants 10u Softball Lathan put together an 8-2 mark in Mississippi at the super Regional USFA event raising their season record to 22-6 overall on the spring season. In their opener in Maggie Mississippi Kate Flannagan struck out 7 over 4 innings, allowing just 1 hit to Louisiana Fury and the Giants offense received hits from Grace Turner (1), Andi Zannis (1), and Kinley Sebert (1) but it was not enough as the Giants suffered the first loss of two on the weekend. In their second game of pool play Makayla Mann and Carleigh Reid combined to allow no hits over 4 innings while striking out 4 and tossing the 107th No Hitter all time for the Birmingham Giants. At the plate Grace Turner (2), Paisley Howell (2, 1 3b), Andi Zannis (HR), Makayla Mann (3, 1 3B), Paige Bradshaw (1), and Calee Guin (HR) all had hits as the Giants rolled to a 13-0 win. In their final pool play game, the Giants were matched up with Grits Softball. For the second time on the season, a Birmingham Giants team tossed back to back No Hitters as Makayla Mann and Carlieigh Reid combined to strike out 5 over 3 innings and Grace Turner (2, 1 HR), Paisley Howell (2), Andi Zannis (HR), Kinley Sebert (3, 1 3B), Paige Bradshaw (2), Laney Little (1), and Carleigh Reid (2) all had hits in the 14-0 win. The win moved the Giants into bracket play with a 2-1 mark.

In their first bracket play game, the Giants were again matched up with Grits 10u. Makayla Mann and Elsie Lowery allowed just 1 hits over 3 innings and Grace Turner (HR), Kinley Seibert (2B, 3B), Laney Little (1), and Calee Guin (3B) all had hits in the 13-0 win. The win set up a rematch with the Louisiana Fury. Grace Turner took the circle to start the second game of bracket play and struck out 10 fury hitters over 4 innings allowing just 1 hit. At the plate Grace Turner (HR), Andi Zannis (1), Makayla Mann (1), Kinley Sebert (1), Paige Bradshaw (2, 1 2B), and Laney Little (2) all had hits as the Giants avenged their earlier loss with an 8-3 win. The win moved the Giants on to Face the Thunderbolts. Kate Flannagan and Makayla Mann combined to allow just 2 earned runs over 4 innings and hits from Grace Turner (2 1 2B), Andi Zannis (2), Makayla Mann (2, 1 3B), Paige Bradshaw (2), Laney Little (2, 1 2B), Elsie Lowery (2 3b), and Calee Guin (2, 1 HR) all had hits in the 13-5 win. The win moved the Giants into the semi final to face Georgia Impact. Makyla Mann allowed just 3 earned runs over 4 innings and Grace Turner (2B), Paisley (1), Makayla Mann (3B), Kinley Sebert (1), Paige Bradshaw (2), and Carleigh Reid (1) all had hits for the Giants but it was not enough as the Giants fell to the losers bracket to again face the Thunderbolts. Grace Turner and Makayla Mann scattered 4 hits over 4 innings while striking out 4 and Paisley Howell (2), Andi Zannis (2), Makayla Mann (1), Kinley Sebert (1), Elsie Lowery (1), and Calee Guin (1) all led the Giants offensively as they rolled to a 9-3 win. The win moved the Giants into the finals where they had to defeat an unbeaten Georgia Impact 2 times to walk away champions.

In game on of the Finals, Makayla Mann allowed just 5 hits while striking out 2, and Grace Turner (1), Makayla Mann (1), Kinley Sebert (1), Laney Little (2B), Calee Guin (1), and Carleigh Reid (1) all had hits as they pulled out the 8-5 victory and forced the 1 game winner take all playoff. In the the 3 inning playoff Carliegh Reid allowed no hits in tossing the 1108th No Hitter all time and Grace Turner, Makayla Mann and Kinley Sebert (2B) all had hits to drive in the Giants 2 runs and Bring the Giants home USFA Super Regional Champions.
