9u Birmingham Giants Baseball wins 8th straight, Brings Home 1st

Playing in Chelsea for their next tournament, the Birmingham Giants 9u Baseball team added to their streak by adding 4 more victories in 4 games to notch their second straight title. In their first game of pool play to start the day, the Giants offense pounded out 6 hits over 3 innings, to drive in 14 runs. Hits from Caleb Syx (2), Kason Nevitt (1), Camden Lafoy (2), Ellis Coleman (1)and Caius Howle (2 2 3B) led the way for the Giants in the win. On the mound Christian Knight struck out 5 over 2 innings for the win as the Giants rolled 14-5.

In game 2 of pool play, Kason Nevitt allowed no earned runs over 3 innings, while striking out 1, and Hits from Caleb Syx (1), Kip Nash (1), Caiden Humbert (2, 1 2B), Kason Nevitt (2), Cayden Knight (2, 1 2B), Camden Lafoy (1), Ellis Coleman (1), Jaxon Hestla (2), and Caius Howle (2B) led the way to the 20-3 win.

In Bracket play, Kip nash struck out 6 over 3 innings, while allowing just 1 hit, and Kip Nash (2b), Kason Nevitt (1), Cayden Knight (1), Camden Lafoy (1), Crimson Fuller (1), Ellis Coleman (2B), and Ducky Graham (1) all had hits as the Giants rolled to an 11-0 win. The win moved the Giants into the Championship game.

In a back and fourth championship game, the Giants faced off with Corner baseball. Caleb Syx (3, 1 2B), Kip Nash (1), Caiden Humbert (2), Kason Nevitt (1), Cayden Knight (1), Caius Howle (1), and Ellis Coleman (1) all had hits for the Giants and Caiden Humbert allowed just 1 earned run over 4 innings, while striking out 5 and the Giants pulled off the 10-9 win, their 8th straight.
