Playing in Lincoln on saturday, the Birmingham Giants 14u rolled off 4 straight wins to bring home the Title. In game 1 of pool play, the Giants were matched up with Diamond Kings Gadsden. The Giants offense pounded out 9 hits over 4 innings, on hits from Collin Turner (1)Antwon Landrum (2B), Karter Banks (3B), Tripp Burr (2B), Logan Bryant (2B), Christian Fikes (1), Matt Patton (1), Keller Martin (3B), and Hudson Walker (1). On the Mound Jack Ambrose struck out 7 over 3.2 innings to preserve the 9-2 win. In the second game of pool play, the Giants faced off with Fusion. Logan Bryant allowed just 1 hit over 4 innings while striking out 2 and at the plate hits from Collin Turner (1), Karter Banks (1), Logan Bryant (2B), and Tripp Burr (1) powered the Giants to the 4-2 win. The win matched the Giants up with the Dueces in the first round of pool play. The Giants entered the final from trailing 6-3, and with 2 outs scored 4 runs including the winner on a walkoff hit from Lucas Busby (1), (Collin Turner (1), Karter Banks (1), Antwon Landrum (2B), Christian Fikes (1), Isiah Watts (2B) and Matt Patton (1) and on the mound Karter Banks and Matt Patton combined to strike out 5 over 3 innings in the 7-6 walk off win.
In the Championship game, Matt Patton allowed just 3 hits while striking out 5 over 4 innings, and hits from Christian Fikes (1), and Keller Martin (1) were all the Giants needed to bring home the 3-1 win.
