Playing in Good Hope, the Birmingham Giants 9u began turning their season around, winning their way to the championship game on Saturday. After dropping their first pool play game , the Birmingham Giants matched up with Prospex for their second game of the day. Grayson Cassar started the game on the mound for the Giants, allowing just 2 hits over 4 innings, while striking out 2, and at the plate Carson Ross (1), Gunner Chapman (1), Gavin Roddy (2B), LD Rutledge (1) and Ethan Gentry (1) all had hits as the Giants won 8-2. The win seated the Giants second going into Bracket paly. In their first game of bracket play, Gunner Chapman allowed 3 hits over 3 innings while striking out 5 and Carson Ross (2 1 2B), Gunner Chapman (1), Gavin Roddy (2B), LD Rutledge (2), and Sawyer Heckman (1) all had hits and Hudson Rodgers, Jackson Wingard, Emi Ardon, Nicholas Ertman and Grayson Rowlen all scored runs or reached base as the Giants won 17-2 and advanced to the finals. In the finals the Giants were held to just a single hit as the finished their day in second place.
