The classic romantic comedy Pretty Woman begins and ends with the same line, “Welcome to Hollywood. What’s your dream? Everybody has a dream. What’s your dream?” Although the bright lights and glamour of Hollywood are far different from a softball field, I truly believe that our response to that question and what we are willing to do about it forms the basis for everything else that we do.
There are 3 ways that people generally respond:
1. I’m afraid to tell you what my dream is because you will laugh at me.
2. I’m afraid to admit my dreams because I don’t believe I’m good enough to achieve them.
3. I want to tell you because I’m excited about my dreams and I believe they will come true.

Your dreams are yours and yours alone you have no obligation to share them with anyone. If you are living your life in fear that you aren’t good enough to accomplish your dreams, that is pretty realistic because you aren’t. But you don’t have to be good enough to accomplish your dreams right now. You just have to admit that you have them, and then commit to doing the work to make them come true in the future.
I have two very simple recommendations that are intended to help you, whichever category you may fall into:
1. Write your dreams down on a piece of paper. Not so you can share them with anyone else, but as a way to acknowledge them
