Birmingham Giants Organization seeks 1500th hit this weekend

With 3 tournaments and a double header this weekend, the Birmingham Giants enter the weekend in search of the organizations 1500th hit all time. Since the 2011 season the Giants Boys and the newer Girls program have piled up 1473 hits, 27 short of the 1500 mark, (810 for the girls, and 663 for the boys, not bad for a coaching staff that “cant teach hitting”).  With a practice regiment that is second to none, it has become the corner stone of the organization, and what continues to attract and keep players. Despite a fallacy of the hitting techniques used by the Giants organization, the proof is in the offering with the quality of hitters turned out by the teams.
