The Birmingham Giants 15u split their double header sunday with a 16u team from Moody, winning 13-6, and losing 8-6.
In Game one of the double header, The Giants urrendered 6 unearned runs in the second inning, before battling back to a 6-6 tie in the 5th inning. Ethan thrasher started the game, going 3 innings, allowing 1 hit while striking out 3. Noah Hathorn worked 2 innings, allowing 1 earned run, striking out 4, and Mikey McGuire worked a scoreless 6th, striking out 2, but the Giants came up on the short end of an 8-6 score. Offensively the Giants were led by Mikey McGuire (1), Joey Schramm (2), Stone Favrot (1), and Jamie Rainer (1).
In Game 2, The Giants Erupted for a 10run 4th inning and cruised to a 13-4 win. Marshall Clark started the game on the mound, going 3 innings, striking out 2, and allowing 2 runs in the first, and Hunter Garcia closed out the games final inning, striking out 1. Offensively the Giants had 8 hits, Brock Shafer (1), Marshall Clark (1), Ethan Thrasher (2), Noah Hathorn (1), Stone Favrot (2), and Hunter Garcia (1).
The Giants play next Saturday in Clinton Mississippi , at the NABF. Regional Wood bat Showcase.
