The 01 Birmingham Giants played their first double header of the fall season Saturday at AUM against the 14-16 Intensity.
In game 1, Skylar Street tossed a great game from the circle, going all 4 innings, allowing just 5 hits and 2 earned runs as the Giants dropped a close game 4-2. Offensively the Giants received hits from Allison Roberson (1), Cassi Williams (1), Turner Cole (1), Skylar Street (2), Mollie Peoples (2), and Francis Fowler (1), but the Giants left 6 on base through out the game, including the tying run at 2nd in the final inning.
In Game 2, with the game tied at 2 in the middle of the second, the Giants committed a few errors that cost them a 5 run inning and eventually the game 7-2. Hits for the Giants came from Cassi Williams (2), Turner Cole (1), Sarah Moore (1), Skylar Street (1), Mollie Peoples (1), and Taylor Dawkins (1). Maci Harris led off the 2nd with a walk and scored to get the Giants offense started.
The 01 Giants play again this weekend at Southern Union college.
