Despite playing well defensively, the Giants were beaten 7-0, never really getting going offensively, despite hits from Noah Hathorn, and Hunter Garcia. With the loss, the Giants fell to 1-1 and seated 4th, going into bracket play.

In their first game in bracket play, the Giants faced the Miners from Brookwood, and team they have beaten 3 times this year.  Getting 7 strong innings from Ethan Thrasher, who picked up the win, (4-1, equaling the club record for most wins in a season), and a single to tie the game by Preston Jones, who eventually scored the game winning run in the bottom of the 7th the Giants moved on to the second round of bracket play to again play the Stix.

In their second game of the day against the stix, the Giants fell behind in the 1st inning 6-0, but behind excellent relief work from Mikey McGuire, (6 Innings 10 K and 2BB  and 1 earned run) the Giants were able to hold off being stopped on runs, but were again not able to really get the bats going, and eventually fell 8-0 to be eliminated, and conclude their tournament play for the fall 2013, as the 3rd ranked 14aa team in the state of Alabama.

The Birmingham Giants finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in 5 of their 7 fall tournaments and finished with an in class record of 9-8.
