Quenton Kersey of Winfield, Alabama has been selected to participate in the National Underclassmen (NUC) Youth All-American Game on December 30, 2013 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The 5’7” 150 pound running back/linebacker has been working hard to prove himself, and is more than ready to test battle against some of the top players in the country from his class.
“I am looking forward to the challenges that I will face, to determine if I am competing at the same level as my team mates and opponents,” said Kersey. “I feel that I am now performing at a higher level, and this will be a great test for me.”
Through four games, Kersey is averaging 167 yards and 18 touches per game, with 668 yards on the ground in total. Averaging 9.5 yards per carry, Kersey is a bruising ball carrier with surprising cutback ability.
Defensively for his Winfield Middle School Pirates, he has tallied 23 tackles, 11 of them being solo and five being for a loss. Kersey also has three pass break-ups from his outside linebacker position.

Kersey is a fine display of a student athlete with a strong work ethic. With a 3.45 grade point average, Kersey received a 2013 Student of Character Award from Winfield Middle School and is making sure to get better everyday both on the field and in the classroom.
