Giants 4 -Spartan Baseball 4
After trailing early in game 1 of their first tournament, the Giants rallied from 3 run first inning deficit to a 4-4 tie with Spartan Baseball. Dakota Cobb (2-0) pitched 4 strong innings, striking out 2 in his first start on the mound. At the plate Jamison Green (1), and Dakota Cobb (1) had hits for the Giants.
Giants 0 – Tough Break 7
In the only game this season where the Giants did not play well, 7 unearned runs in the second inning to fall 7-0. At the plate, the Giants received hits from JamisonGreen (1), Dakota Cobb (1), and Steven Ray (1).
Giants 7- Birmingham Baseball -1
In bracket play of their first tournament, the Giants faced off with Birmingham Baseball, led by Egan Lowery (3-1), the Giants controlled the game from the start, cruising to an 7-1 win. Lowery pitched 3 strong innings, allowing just 4 walks and no runs in his start. At the plate, Giant hits came from Jamison Green (1), Egan Lowery (1), Peyton Wiggins (1), Brock Posey (1), Isaah Miles (1), and Tyler Carroll (1).
Giants 4 – Dirt Bags 5 (7 Innings)
After falling behind early 3-0 again, the Giants rebounded to take a 4-3 lead, but were unable to defend the lead, falling in extra innings 5-4. Dakota Cobb started on the mound, pitch 5 innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6. At the plat the giants offense was paced by Jamison Green (1), Egan Lowery (1), Brock Posey (1), Steven Ray (1), Isaah Miles (1), and Tyler Carrol (1).
Giants 8- Rock Creek 2
The Giants travelled to Rock Creek, to play the Rock Creek 12u all stars in a non tournament game. Dakota Cobb controlled the game from the start, pitching 4 innings, striking out 2 and just allowing just 1 hit. At the plate, Giants hitters pounded out 11 hits, and drew 6 walks enrout to their 8 runs. Jamison Green (2), Jarod Latta (1), Sylas Amick (3, 2 2b , HR), Peyton Jackson (1), Dakota Cobb (1), Brock Posey (1), Hunter Scott (1), and JB Landrum (1).
Giants 7- Miners 7
After trailing 7-0 going into the final inning, Isaah Miles’s game tying 3 run homer earned the Giants a 7-7 tie. Hits from Jamison Green (1), Dakota Cobb (1), Brock Posey (3, 1 2b), Peyton Wiggins (2), ISaah Miles (HR), and Trent Mays (1).
Giants 2- Shockers 5
Trent Mays made his first start as a giant, allowing just 2 earned runs over 21/3 innings striking out 2, and Eagan Lowery struck out 6 in 22/3 innings of work in the 5-2 loss. The Giants offense stranded 9 runners, but received hits from Jamison Green (1), Egan Lowery (1), Dakota Cobb (1), Brock Posey (1), Hunter Scott (1), and Tyler Carroll.
Giants 13 – Cullman Cats 9
In their game of bracket play of their second tournament, the giants jumped out to a 6-0 lead behind Dakota Cobb, and held on for a 13-9 win over the Cullman Cats. At the plate Giants hitters totaled 11 Hits, including hits from Jamison Green (1), Isaah Miles (2b), Egan Lowery (3), Brock Posey (2, 1 2b), Dakota Cobb (2, 1 2b), Hunter Scott (2b), and Trent Mays (1).
Giants 12 – Shockers 13 (8 innings)
Dropping their 2nd extra innings game of the season, the Giants fell to the shockers 13-12 in 8 innings. Hits from Egan Lowery (3, 1 2b), Brock Posey (3), Dakota Cobb (2, 2 2b), Hunter Scott (1), Peyton Wiggins (1), and Trent Mays (1), were not enough as the Giants stranded 9 more runners.
Giants 3- Piper Davis Bessemer 1
Dakota Cobb struck out 4 over 3 innings for the win, and Jarod Latta Homered and brock Posey singled home 2 runs to lead the Giants to the 3-1 win over the Piper Davis Bessemer team.
Giants 10- Clay 1
Egan Lowery allowed no hits over 2 innings while striking out 4 and Hunter Scott closed out the final inning for the Giants as they cruised to a 10-1 win. Hits from Jamison Green (1), Egan Lowery (1), Dakota Cobb (1), Sylas Amick (1 HR), Brock Posey (1), Hunter Scott (1), Jayce Reasen (1), Trent Mays (1), and Peyton Jackson (2b).
