7u Birmingham Giants Tournament Champions

Playing in their 2nd ever tournament, the Birmingham Giants 7u hit their way to an impressive 4-0 mark, and captured their first tournament championship. In their first pool play games, the Giants were matched up with Power Athletics. With a 10-2 lead through the first 3 innings, and eventually winning 16-8, the Giants offense was led by Cohen Thompson (1), Keston Beck (4), Brody Flack (2), Rian Eatmon (3), Harrison Colburn (1), Marcus Bryant (1), Brady Jenkins (2), Cain Scarbrough (1), Connor Dockery (2), Zander Leamon (1), Jr. Green (2), and Brayden Stephens (2) all who had hits.

In their second pool play game on saturday, the Giants faced off with Hits Black. Jumping out to an early 4-1 lead, the Giants cruised to and 11-3 victory, behind hits from Cohen Thompson (3), Keston Beck (1), Brody Flack (2), Rian Eatmon (2), Harrison Colburn (1), Marcus Bryant (1), Brady Jenkins (1), Cain Scarbrough (1), Brayden Stephens (1), Connor Dockery (1), and Zander Leamon(1) . The victory seated the Giants first overall going into sundays bracket play.

In their first bracket play game on sunday afternoon, the Giants found themselves trailing early 9-3 after 3 innings. However over the next 2 innings 8-0 to grab the 11-9 win over the North Alabama Blaze. At the plate Cohen Thompson (1), Keston Beck (2), Brody Flack (2), Rian Eatmon (1), Harrison Colburn (1), Marcus Bryant (2), Brady Jenkins (2), Cain Scarborogh (1), Connor Dockery (1), and Zander Leamon (1),  all had hits to pace the offense in the win. The win sent the top seated Giants into the Champioship game against Prime Time.

After trailing early 3-2, the Giants jumped out to an 11-10 lead after 5 innings of play. In  the Top 6, Primetime loaded the bases, but were unable to tie the game, as the Giants battled to an 11-10 win. Cohen Thompson (1), Keston Beck (2), Brody Flack (1), Rain Eatmon (2), Harrison Colburn (2), Marcus Bryant (2), Cain Scarbrough (1), Conner Docker (1), Zander Leamon (2), and JR. Green (2) all had hits in the Giants 11-10 victory.

The win wrapped up the Championship for the Giants, moving their season record to 5-2, they are schedule to play again this weekend.
