The Birmingham Giants 13u Baseball team finished second in their tournament on saturday, posting a 2-1 mark. In game 1 of pool play the Giants were matched up with the Triton Rays from Montgomery. Aiden Latham started the game on the mound, 2 2/3 innings, allowing just 1 earned run  on 2 hits, before being relieved by Jarod Latta. At the plate Cameron Harris (2B), Alex Drake (2B), and JB Landrum (1) had hits, but a late deffensive laps cost the Giants as the dropped a walk off 5-4 game.

In the second game of pool play, the Giants matched up with the Tribe. Egan Lowery (1-0) after coming on in relief allowed no runs over 3 innings, striking out 2, as the Giants pulled out a 7-3 win. At the plate, the Giants received hits from Cameron Harris (2B), Andrew Putman (3B), Aiden Latham (1), Steve Ray (1), Brock Poeey (1), and Jacob Isom (1) to power the Giants 7 runs.

In their first game of Bracket play, the Giants were again matched up with the Tribe. JB Landrum allowed just 1 hit over 4 innings, striking out 1, while trowing just 36 pitches, and Cameron Harris (3B), Andrew Putman (1), Alex Drake (2), Jarod Latta (1), Andrew Latham (1), JB Landrum (1), Brock Posey (1), Aiden Richey (1), and Egan Lowery (1) had hits for the Giants in the 8-0 win. The win moved the 2nd seeded Giants into the championship game, again to face the Triton Rays.

In the Championship game, the only winner was the tornado stoppage as the Giants and the Triton Rays game was called for a tornado warning in the area, leaving the Giants, the 2nd seed in second place.
