7u Birmingham Giants move to 21-3 on the season with Mississippi Tournament win

Birmingham Giants 7U win Mississippi Tournament

The 7u Birmingham Giants moved their season record to 21-3, winning 4 straight on their way to winning their last tournament in Mississippi. In game 1 of pool ,play, the Giants squared off with the Astros. After starting slow, the Giants put up 13 runs over the final 2 innings on their way to the 15-4 win. Cohen Thompson (2), Keiston Beck (3), Brody Flack (3), Marcus Bryant (2), Brayden Stephens (1), Brady Jenkins (2), Zander Lehman (2), and Jason Green (1) led the Giants to the win.

 

 

In Game 2, the Giants were matched up with Dawgs. 12 runs in the first 2 innings, allowed the Giants to cruise to a 16-1 win. Cohen Thompson (2), Keston Beckm (1), Brody Flack (2), Marcus Bryant (1), Zander Lehman (1), Rian Eatmion (2), Marcus Bryant (1), Brady Jenkins (2), Lucas Busby (2), Conner Dockery (1), Jason Green (1),  and Brayden Stephens (1), paced the Giants offense in the win. With the victory the Giants were seeded first heading into bracket play.

In bracket play, the top seeded Giants again faced off with the Dawgs. The Giants offense again erupted u\for 12 runs, while the defense allowed just 3 in the 12-3 win. Cohen Thompson (2), Zander Lehman (1), Brody Flack (2), Keston Beck (3), Rian Eatmon (1), Marcus Bryabt (2),  Brady Jenkins (1), Lucas Busby (1), Conner Dockery (1), Jason Green (2), and Brayden Stephens (2) all had hits for the Giants, as the win moved the Giants into the Championship game, again.

In the Championship game the Giants were set to play the second seeded Stingers. After scoring 10 runs in the first 2 innings, the Giants cruised to a 12-2 win. Cohen Thompson (1), Zander Lehman (2), Brody Flack (2), Keston Beck (1), Rian Eatmon (1), Marcus Bryant (1), Brady Jenkins (1), Conner Dockery (2), and Jason Green all had hits to help the Giants to the tournament championship game victory.
