The Birmingham Giants 7u continued their dominant season, rolling to 4 more victories in a row, raising their season record to 25-3 and gaining their 5 first place finish of the spring. In their opening game of the tournament, the Giants 7u faced off with Pipeline, for the first time this spring season, Cohen Thompson (2, 1 2B), Keston Beck (2), Brody Flack (1), Rian Eatmon (2B), Marcus Bryant (2, 1 2B), Brady Jenkins (2, 1 2B), Zander Lehman (1), Conner Dockery (2), Jason Green (1), Harrison Colburn (2) and Cain Scarbrough (2) all had hits as the Giants offense rolled to a 12-6 win.
In game 2, the Birmingham Giants 7u were scheduled to play the Gardendale Rockets. After scoring 6 runs in the first inning, the Giants cruised to A 10-6 win. Cohen Thompson (2), Keston Beck (2, 1 2B), Brody Flack (1), Rian Eatmon (2, 1 HR), Harrison Colburn (3, 1 2B), Marcus Bryant (1), Cain Scarbrough (2), Brady Jenkins (2, 1 2B), Zander Lehman (2), Conner Dockery (3B), and Jason Green (1) all had hits to power the offense and the Giants to their 2nd victory of the day and gaining the Giants the number 1 seed again.
As the number 1 seed, the Giants faced off once again with Pipeline Baseball. Cohen Thompson (3), Keston Beck (3, 1 2B), Brody Flack (2), Rian Eatmon (2), Harrison Colburn (2, 1 HR), Marcus Bryant (2, 1 2B), Cain Scarbrough (2), Brady Jenkins (2), Zander Lehman (2), Conner Dockery (1), and Jason Green (2, 1 3B) powered the Giants offense that erupted for 17 runs in the 17-4 win and another spot in the Championship game.
In the Championship game the Giants 7u started slowly, falling behind to PTB 6-0. In the 3rd inning, the Giants posted 4 runs, cutting the lead to 6-4, and by the 4th the Giants had seized the lead 9-6 and never looking back in the 13-10 win and thier 5th championship of the spring. Cohen Thompson (2, 1 2B), Keston Beck (1), Brody Flack (1), Harrison Colburn (1), Marcus Bryant (2), Cain Scarbrough (2), Brady Jenkins (2), Zander Lehman (3), Conner Dockery (1), nad Jason Green (1) all had hits for the Giants in the convincing win.
The Giants play next on saturday in the state tournament.
