The Birmingham Giants 10u Softball team finished 1st in yet another tournament in Fultondale, posting a 2-0 record in a rain shortened tournament. In the first game of pool play, the Giants faced off with the Mustangs 08. Kylie Snowden tossed all 3 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs while striking out 3. At the plate Sophie Gromko (1) had the Giants only hit to go along with 5 walks to plate the Giants 3 runs, and Ryliegh Halls game saving catch in right field powered the Giants to a 3-2 win.
In game 2 of pool play, Kaydence Hays took the circle to pitch to the Alabama Fire 07. Hays tossed 2 strong innings, allowing just 1 hits while striking out 5, and Kylie Snowden closed out the final inning of the 6-1 win. Alyna Morgan (1), Piper Rowe (1), Sophie Gromko (1), and Kaydence Hays (1) all had hits for the Giants, as they were the 1st overall seed, which when the rain came gave the Giants another tournament win.
