Playing in their first ever 7u baseball tournament, the Birmingham Giants rolled through the competition post a 3-0 mark, allowing just 5 runs over the 3 games on their way to their first ever championship.
In game 1, the Birmingham Giants 7u were matched up with WC Thunder (ESB), the Giants scored 4 in the first, 7 in the 3rd and 4 more in the 4th enroute to the 15-1 win. At the plate hits came from Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (3), Brody Flack (3), Will Shoults (3), Braeden Wainwright (2), Luke Francis (2), Landon Coleman (2), Easton Scott (1), and aiden Alexander (1) for the Giants in the win.
In game 2, the Giants squared off with the Northport Mafia. The Giants scored 7 first inning runs as they put the game out of reach, scoring 6 more the rest of the way in the 13-0 shutout win. Offensively Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (2), Camden Buford (2), Brody Flack (2), Will Shoults (2), Braeden Wainwright (2), Luke Francis (2), Wesley Mullins (1), and aiden Alexander (1) all had hits for the Giants in the win.
The win seated the Giants number 1 overall and secured them a place in the championship game, to again face WC Thunder (ESB). In game that was never in question, the 7u Birmingham Giants scored 7 runs in the first, 7 in the 2nd and 5 more in the 3rd on their way to the 19-4 win. Every Giant in the lineup had a hit offensively for the Giants as they posted 19 runs on 23 hits. Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (3), Brody Flack (3), Will Shoults (2), Braeden Wainwright (1), Luke Francis (2), Wesley Mullins (2), Landon Coleman (1), Braylen Parker (1), Easton Scott (1) and aiden Alexander (2) led the offensive explosion as the Giants costed to the 19-4 and their first championship of the spring.
