8u Birmingham Giants Roll through tournament on their way to championship.

Raising their alltime mark to 75-9, the Birmingham Giants 8u Baseball team continued their winning ways, rolling off 4 in a row on saturday in Calera to bring home the champioship. In game 1 the Giants were matched with the Juggernauts . While the offense provided 11 runs, the Giants defense was as stingy as ever, allowing just no runs over 5 innings of the 15-0 win. At the plate Zander Leamon (3), Ross Christy (1), Brody Flack (3), John Bryant Fowler (2), Weston Morton (2), Lucas Busby (3), Aaron Robinson (3), Justin Hill (2), Blake Freeman (2), Tyson Ltham (3), and Kameron Laws (2) all had hits for the victorious Giants.

In game 2 The Giants found themselves with a familiar opponent, Power House Athletics. In a game in which the Giants never trailed,
Zander Leamon (2), Ross Christy (3), Brody Flack (3), John Bryant Fowler (2), Weston Morton (3), Lucas Busby (3), Aaron Robinson (2), Justin Hill (2), Blake Freeman (1), Tyson Latham (2), and Kameron Laws (1) had hits as the Giants cruised to 15-7 win and the number 1 overall seed.

Moving into bracket play, the Giants were paired up again with Power House Athletics. This time the stingy Giants defense showed up again, allowing just 2 runs over 4 innings of the 10-2 win. At the plate Zander Leamon (3), Ross Christy (1), Brody Flack (1), John Bryant Fowler (2), Lucas Busby (2), Justin Hill (1), Blake Freeman (2), Tyson Latham (1), and Kameron Laws (1) had hits for the Giants offense. The win moved the Giants into the Championship game.

In the Championship game, The Birmingham Giants seized control taking a 9-2 lead and never looked back, cruising to 10-2 win, in a game in which they were never really challenged not allowing a base runner after the 2nd inning.
