7u Birmingham Giants bring Home First

Running their season record to a lofty 11-1 mark to start the season, the Birmingham Giants 7u squad brought home another 1st place finish Saturday in Cullman. In their first game of pool play, The Giants were matched with the Valley Kings. Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (3), Brody Flack (2), Will Shoults (3), Luke Francis (2), Landon Coleman (1), Braeden Wainwright (2), Aiden Alexander (1), Wesley Mullins (2), Easton Scott (1), and Wiley Swindle (2) all had hits as the Giants rolled to an 18-10 win.

In game 2 of pool play, the Giants squared off with the Trussville Rangers. Jumping out to a 16-3 lead after 3 innings, the Giants finished with a 22-6 win. Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (3), Brody Flack (3), Will Shoults (3), Luke Francis (3), Landon Coleman (3), Braeden Wainwright (3), Aiden Alexander (2), Wesley Mullins (2), Easton Scott (1), Braylen Parker (1) and Wiley Swindle (1) all had hits to power the offense to the 22-6 win. The win seated the Giants 2nd going into bracket play.

In their first game of bracket play, the Giants first opponent was Madison Edge. Jumping out to a 16-3 lead after 3 innings, the Giants finished with a 16-5 win. Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (1), Camden Buford (2), Brody Flack (2), Will Shoults (2), Luke Francis (2), Landon Coleman (1), Braeden Wainwright (2), Aiden Alexander(1), Wesley Mullins(1), Easton Scott (1), Braylen Parker (2) and Wiley Swindle (2) all had hits in the win.

The win moved the Giants into the Semi finals to face the shockers. At the plate Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (1), Camden Buford (2), Brody Flack (2), Will Shoults (1), Luke Francis (1), Landon Coleman (1), Braeden Wainwright (1), Aiden Alexander (1), Easton Scott (1), Braylen Parker (1) and Wiley Swindle (1) all had hits and the Giants defense posted a shut out as they rolled to a 12-0 win. The win moved the Giants into the finals to face the Trussville Huskies.

Exploding for 15 runs through the fist 3 innings, put the Giants out to a 15-4 lead and they never looked back, cruising to a 15-4 win.
