Running their season record to an eye popping 30-1, the Birmingham Giants continue to send teams running as the picked up their next title of the season saturday in Oxford. First up on their schedule on saturday was Top Gun. In a game that was never close, the Giants rolled to a 17-3 win. Zander Leamon (2), Ross Christy (3), Brody Flack (2), John Bryant Fowler (3), Weston Morton (2), Lucas Busby (1), Aaron Robinson (2), Blake Freeman (2), Tyson Latham (2), and Kameron Laws (2) all had hits as the Giants cruised to a 17-3 win.
In game 2 of pool play, the Giants were matched up with the Wolf Pack. In another game that was not close, the Giants pounded out 20 hits, while allowing 4, Zander Leamon (3), Ross Christy (2), Brody Flack (3), John Bryant Fowler (2), Weston Morton (2), Lucas Busby (1), Aaron Robinson (2), Blake Freeman (2), Tyson Latham (1), and Kameron Laws (2) all had hits in the 14-3 win.
The win seated the Giants as the top seed overall going into bracket play. First up for the Giants was the Shockers. Allowing a few runs late made the score closer than it was as the Giants finished with a 13-5 win and a trip to the finals, again. In the championship game, the Giants were matched up with the Bama Patriots. Again.
