In a season that has seen the 8u Birmingham Giants win 34 of 35 games, the Birmingham Giants rolled off 4 more to bring home another 8u Baseball title. In their first game of pool play, the Giants were matched up with the Tuscaloosa Thunder. Jumping out to an early 6-0 lead through 3 innings, the Giants finished with an 8-0 win. At the plate Zander Leamon (1), Ross Christy (2), Brody Flack (2), John Bryant Fowler (2), Weston Morton (2), Lucas Busby (2), Blake Freeman (1), Tyson Latham (1), and Kameron Laws (2) and Max Bell (3) all had hits in the win.
In game 2 of pool play, the Giants matched up with the Mavericks. With the game in a 2-2 tie going into the 3rd, the Giants exploded for 6 runs over the next 2 innings to pull out the 8-6 win. Zander Leamon (2), Ross Christy (1), Brody Flack (3), Weston Morton (3), Lucas Busby (2), Aaron Robinson (2), Blake Freeman (3), Tyson Latham (1), Kameron Laws (1) , and Max Bell (3) provided the offense in the 8-6 victory and the top seed over all going into bracket play.
In bracket play, the Giants again faced the Tuscaloosa thunder. The Giants took command of the game in the 3rd innings, scoring 6 unanswered runs, leading to a 10-4 victory and securing a spot in the Championship Game.
