Running their season record to 25-6, the Birmingham Giants added to their great first spring season by bringing home the USSSA Global State Tournament. In their first game of pool play, the Giants matched up with Cat Baseball. Tanner Egan (3), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (2), Will Shoults (3), Luke Francis (2), Braeden Wainwright (2), Wiley Swindle (1), Wesley Mullins (2), Braylen Parker (2), Aiden Alexander (2), and Easton Scott (1) all had hits as the Giants rolled to a 16-1 win.
In game 2 of pool play, the Giants squared off with the Dawgs. In a game that ended the same way it started, the Giants finished with a 10-10 tie.
Tanner Egan (1), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (1), Will Shoults (3), Luke Francis (2), Braeden Wainwright (1), Landon Coleman (2), Wiley Swindle (1), Wesley Mullins (2), Braylen Parker (1), Aiden Alexander (1), and Easton Scott (1) all had hits for the Giants offense.
In their Semi Final game the Giants jumped out to a 13-0 lead afetr 3 innings, before winning 13-3. Offensively Tanner Egan (2), Brayden Helms (1), Will Shoults (2), Luke Francis (2), Braeden Wainwright (2), Landon Coleman (2) , Wiley Swindle (2), Wesley Mullins (2), Braylen Parker (1), and Aiden Alexander (2) led the way in the 13-3 win, a win that sent the Birmingham Giants 7u into the State Finals.
Moving into the finals, the Giants were matched up with the WC Thunder. Rolling to an 18-2 win, the Giants offense pounded out 23 hits to drive in the 18 runs, with hits from Tanner Egan (3), Brayden Helms (3), Camden Buford (1), Will Shoults (3), Luke Francis (3), Braeden Wainwright (2), Landon Coleman (3) , Wiley Swindle (2), Wesley Mullins (1), Aiden Alexander (2), and Easton Scott (1) as the Giants brought home the State Title.
