Playing up in their first 14u tournament, the Birmingham Giants 12u brought home 2nd place on the rain shortened coin flip. Annie Gregory tossed a no hitter in their opening game allowing no hits over 4 innings, while striking out 5, and Mary Beth Glenn (2B), Michaela Sweet (2B), Annie Gregory (1), and Jessica Padgett (1) all had hits for the Giants 6-0 win.
In game 2 of pool play, the Giaants faced off with the Swarm. Although the Giants came up on the short end of the 6-4 score, but hits from Annie Gregory (2B), and Lanie Otwell (1) had hits to push the Giants 4 runs across. Starting pool plat the Giants were seated second, and when the rain washed out bracket play the Giants were awarded 2nd place.
