Playing in oxford alabama, the Birmingham Giants 10u Softball team, pulled out victories in 3 of their 4 games, bringing home 2nd in the process. In game 1 of pool play Skylan Dyson struck out 4 and allowed no hits in tossing the Birmingham Giants 74th no hitter all time and at the plate Hits from Abigail Erreca (3B), Skylan Dyson (1), and Kendal Burch (2B) all had hits for the Giants in the 11-0 win.
In game 2 of pool play, the Giants were paired with Georgia Insanity. Khloe Herron struck out 5 over 2 2/3rds innings and Kendall Burch closed out the final out of the 3-2 victory, the Giants 2nd on the day. At the playe Abigail Erreca (1), and Kendall Burch (1) both had hits in the 3-2 win.
The win moved the Giants into bracket play to play Top Gun X. Kendall Burch took over the game allowing just 2 hits, while striking out 10 over 4 innings. At the plate Abigail Erreca (2B), Khloe Heron (1), Skylan Dyson (2, 1 3B), Haylee Gothard (1), and Kira Vines (1) all had hits in the 4-0 win. The win moved the Giants into the championship game to face Georgia Intensity again.
In the championship game, Giants pitching which had allowed just 3 hits in 3 games, faltered allowing 10 hits as the Giants fell 10-2. Just 1 hit from Sophia Carroll (1) and RBI’s from Reagan Warren and Skylan Dyson were all the Giants could muster as the finished 2nd over all with a 3-1 mark on the day.
