Birmingham Giants 9u Baseball roll off 4 more in bringing home the championship

The Birmingham Giants 9u Baseball team pulled off 4 more victories in their fall campaign in running their fall record to 10-1, and bringing home their 2nd straight title. In their opening game of pool play, the Giants were matched up with the Brewers. 4 second inning runs was all the Giants would need as they pulled out the 4-2 win. Brody Flack started the game, striking out 6 over 2 innin gs, and Ethan Passmore struck out 4 more over the final 2 innings of the win. At the plate Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (1), Brody Flack (1), Tanner Egan (1), and Tahj Salaam (1) all had hits for the Giants in the win.

In game 2 of pool play the Giants matched up with the Vipers. Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (2), Will Shoults (2), Brody Flack (2), Braeden Wainwright (1), Tanner Egan (2), Miles Sanders (1), and Tahj Salaam (1) all had hits for the Giants, posting 26 runs, and Braeden Wainwright and Will Shoults combined on the mound for the Birmingham Giants 77th no hitter all time. The win seated the Giants first heading into bracket play.

In their first bracket play game the Giants faced off for the First time this fall with the Buck Creek Pirates. Cam Buford started the game on the hill, and Brayden Helms closed out the final inning of the 10-4 win. Tanner Egan (2)started the game offensively with a lead off home run, Brayden Helms (2), Cam Buford (2), Will Shoults (2), Brody Flack (1), Miles Sanders (1), and Ethan Passmore (2B) all had hits in the win. The win moved the Giants into the championship game for the 2nd week in a row.

In the championship game Ethan Passmore struck out 8 over 5 innnings, allowing just 1 hit, and Brayden Helms (1), Cam Buford (1), Will Shoults (1), Brody Flack (1), Brons Anderson (1), Miles Sanders (1), Landon Coleman (1), Ethan Passmore (1), and Luke Francis (1) all had hits in the 10-1 victory.
