The Birmingham Giants 10u Softball Bailey put together 4 straight wins to run their season record to 12-4-1 to start the spring on their way to their second championship of the spring. In their first game of pool play the Giants were matched up with the Chilton Crushers, Sophia Shubert and Naomi Avila allowed just 3 hits while striking out 5 and hits from Sophia Shubert (3, 1 2b, 1 HR), Molly Self (3, 1 3B), Addison Bailey (1), Becca Hanson (3), Kylie Smith (1) and Rylee Lollar (1) all had hits in the 18-4 win. In game 2 of pool play, the Giants were paired with Top Gun. Naomi Avila allowed just 2 hits over 4 innings while striking out 4, and offensively the 10 Giants hits came from Sophia Shubet (2, 1 3B), Elysse Payton (2, 1 2B), Molly Self (1), Addison Bailey (2B), Brooklynn Davlin (1), Becca Hanson (3B), Kylie Smith (1), and Berkley Rowell (1) in the 14-1 win. The win seated the Giants first overall heading into bracket play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their first bracket play game, Kylie Smith and Naomi Avila combined to strike out 8 over 4 innings and Sophia Shubert (1), Molly Self (2, 1 2B), Addison Bailey (1), Brooklynn Davlin (1), and Berkley Rowell (1) all had hits in the Giants 5-1 win. Th win sent the Giants to the championship game to face the Lady Hawks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
