In their second showcase double header of the fall season, coach Heather McGuirk’s 16u Birmingham Giants team earned a split with the 16-18u Chaos at Southern Union College, running their record to 3-1 on the fall season.<\/p>\n

\"GIANT<\/a>In the first game of the double header, the Giants struck first in the first inning for what would be come the eventual winning run, in the 3-0 shut out of the chaos. Maddison Simmons (3-0) worked 4 innings, allowing just 4 hits for the victory, her 3rd of the season, and Kelsey English tossed 2 perfect innings to preserve the win. The Giants mustered 5 hits of their own from Kelsey English (1), Shelby Morgan (1), Kaitlyn Berry (1), Sabrina Russell (1,3b) and Klaudia Smith (1).<\/p>\n

In game 2 of the double header the Giants fell behind 3-0 after 3 innings, enroute to the 4-2 defeat, their first loss of the fall campaign. In the Circle Kelsey English pitched the first 2 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run, and Madison Simmons pitched the final 4 innings, scattering 6 hits while striking out 1. At the plate, Giant hits came from Kelsey English (1), Haley Dennis (2, 1 3b), \u00a0Victoria Rose (1), and Alexis Griffin(1).<\/p>\n

\"GIANT<\/a>In the field catcher Kaitlyn Berry throw out 4 runners on the day, and Sabrina Russell at Short stop and 3b was involved in 12 outs.<\/p>\n
