\"\"The Birmingham Giants 14u Showcase team competed in their first showcase of the spring season at Alabama State and Faulkner Univ on saturday and sunday, posting a 2-1-1 mark, raising their season mark to 8-3-2.<\/p>\n

Giants 7 Rays 4<\/p>\n

In their first game of showcase play, the Giants trailed for most of the game 4-0, but in the bottom of the 5th, they closed the gap to 4-3 and in the bottom of the 6th tied the game on a squeeze bunt by Gavin Clanton and a go ahead single by KJ Beck. Jarod Latta started the gameon the mound, lasting 2 2\/3 innings, striking out 4, before being relived by Syals Amick, and Ian Dabbs (1-0) who closed out the final inning for the win. At the Plate KJ Beck (2), Andrew Kellum (3, 1 2B, 1 3B), Sylas Amick (1), Bentley Berry (3B), Bryant Akeridge (1), Ian Dabbs (1), Egan Lowery (1), and Gavin Clanton (1) all had hits for the Giants in the win.<\/p>\n

Andrew Kellum tossed 4 innings, striking out 7, allowing just 3 hits in the 10-3 win over Triton Rays North 43 on saturday night at Faulkner Univ in montgomery. At the plate KJ Beck (1), Andrew Kellum (1), Sylas Amick (2B), Alex Drake (1), Jarod Latta (1), Ian Dabbs (2B), and Egan Lowery (1) all had hits to pace the Giants offense.<\/p>\n

In their 3rd game of the showcase on sunday morning, the Giants took on CR 15U from Phoenix City. Sylas Amick pitched all 7 innings, striking out, and allowing just 1 earned run in the loss. Cameron Harris (3B), KJ Beck (1), Sylas Amick (2B), Jarod Latta (1), Bryant Akeridge (1), and Egan Lowery (1) had hits for the Giants.<\/p>\n

Giants 5 – Triton Rays Columbus 5<\/p>\n

Egan Lowery started the Giants final game on the mound for the Giants on sunday at Alabama State, tossing 3 innings, allowing just 1 hits and 1 run while striking out 1. Bryant akeridge closed out the final 2 innings for the Giants in the Tie. Andrew Kellum (2), Cameron Harris (3B), Bentley Berry (1),and\u00a0 Egan Lowery (1) all had hits for the Giants.<\/p>\n
